Green walls and inspiring spaces

We had this dream that turned into a plan, and is now a space named sage + savant. It was for a beautiful, inspiring, functional workspace for kiddoes. I knew deep down it would be a gamechanger for their minds. I once witnessed something spectacular that solidified this truth in my being. Earlier this year, I swapped out my 8 year old kiddo’s desk for a lovely glass adult looking desk. I did it on a whim. A friend needed a spot to store her desk and I said why not. Well, when he saw it in the place of his kiddo desk, he pulled up his chair, sat in it, literally caressed the glass, sat up straight and then declared, “I AM a business man, I have got work to do”. I think the fact that I had given him something to use he imagined was only for adults communicated to him in a new way that I respected what he had to give by way of the work he would do at this desk. I am hoping that by being intentional with the space at sage + savant we can create an inspiring atmosphere that calls out the sages and savants in kids. Hence the green-wall-to-be amongst other things!
